The Perspective Behind the Work
Jesse Harding Campbell has always been the person who asks more than one question.

When she started farm broadcasting, that meant asking her mentor about the markets until she understood not just what was happening, but how the pieces were interconnected and how they affected the farmers and ranchers listening. The questions may have driven him a little crazy, but they made her an award-winning broadcaster. They also shaped how she thinks about communications today: define the goal, understand the audience, and then determine the best way to get there.

That's the thinking behind Marsh Wren Creative. Every project starts with the goal in mind. What are we trying to accomplish? Who needs to hear it? What will actually get us there? Sometimes the answer is a communications strategy. Sometimes it's a media opportunity, an event, a production project, or helping a team understand an audience or industry that is new to them. The work is figuring out what makes sense for that particular client and then making it happen.

This mindset has led to nationally recognized client work, including two Agricultural Communicators Network (ACN) awards for for speech writing and media relations. But the goal isn't an award. It's doing work that helps a client get where they want to go.

Every organization has different communications needs, so every partnership looks a little different. Agriculture has a complex story to tell, and communicating it well requires more than a passing familiarity with the industry. The right perspective can help connect what an organization knows with how its audiences, partners, and the media will hear it. An agricultural communications specialist brings that perspective to the table.
